Together we have cried an ocean of tears
As we cherish the memories we hold so dear.
 
His infectious laugh, his kindness and love.
His heart of gold and the many lives he touched.
 
In our lives he has played a special part.
The memories we will treasure and keep close to our heart.
 
To each one of us he has loved and cared.
As a family, we are thankful for the good times we shared.
 
Although he has gone, we will always be together,
And his spirit will live on in each one of us forever.
 
When we look to the sky and see the brightest star,
That will be John looking down on us from afar.
 
He would want us to know he’s in a good place
And that he’s watching us all with a smile on his face.
